Aston Replay suffered performance issues last night. ISA are working on restoring the service. There will be periods of downtime while this is fixed.

We’ve tweaked the Sumpner lecture theatre to try to improve the quality of the audio. Recordings for Aston Replay are made by a microphone on the desk rather than relying on the clip mic.

The Panopto web server is currently down; ISA are working on getting it back online. In the meantime, you won’t be able to watch recordings. You can make recordings, however they will remain on the computer until the server is available again.

The server is accepting uploads again. Sessions will automatically upload from pool room PCs when they’re logged in.

Uploads are currently failing. Your recordings are safe, they’ll remain on the computer until the server is available again.

We’re running the new version of Panopto, and it is successfully integrated with Blackboard. There are a couple of changes with this version compared to the one we we running previously. The update didn’t fix the issues with Blackboard; Instructors are still unable to provision courses. Panopto US will be looking into the problems tonight. If you need somewhere to record sessions, please contact Aston Replay Support

Aston Replay should be considered at risk this afternoon, Tuesday 20th, from 1600. During this time we’ll be installing the new version of Panopto which contains a fix for the integration with Blackboard.

We’ve integrated Aston Replay into Blackboard 9.1, but currently you can’t provision any modules. If you need to record sessions urgently, please email or call 0121 204 4237
