Panopto stopped accepting uploads at approx 1600 yesterday. We’re working with their support team to get this fixed. Until it is back up and running, continue recording sessions as normal. Overnight there was a problem with the Aston’s internet connection. This appears to have affected the logins for Blackboard which in turn affects logins to the Aston Replay/Panopto recorder. There was a problem with the Panopto data server overnight, resulting in a backlog of sessions to process (72 to be exact). Fortunately usage is low on a Wednesday afternoon, so we should be back to normal for Thursday.
We’ll be down for part of the afternoon while we migrate the database over to a new server. Consider access to Replay at risk from 1400
The work yesterday was a success, so we’ve now got about 6TB of storage for recordings (compared to the 2TB of space we previously had, which we were about a fortnight away from filling). There’ll be some more downtime next Wednesday (27th) while we work on moving the Panopto database over to a dedicated server.
Replay will be down from 1400 this afternoon for two hours, and should be considered at risk for the rest of the day.
