Fixed – Aston Replay/Panopto Logins

Overnight there was a problem with the Aston’s internet connection. This appears to have affected the logins for Blackboard which in turn affects logins to the Aston Replay/Panopto recorder.

It is still possible to login to the recorder if you follow exactly the steps below.

1. Open Internet Explorer. You MUST use Internet Explorer for this to work.
2. Login to MAP at http://aston.ac.uk/map using your normal Aston username a password.
3. Browse to Blackboard at http://vle.aston.ac.uk and you will be logged in automatically.
4. Open the Panopto Recorder.
5. Select Login With Aston’s Blackboard and login as normal with your username and password. Please be patient at this point as it may take a little longer than normal.

UPDATE: Unfortunately this work around is not working under all conditions. Instead please email AV Support or call on 4221 and they will assist in getting you logged in.
