Panopto support inform us that sessions finished copying yesterday evening.
Migration progress: day five
The latest update from Panopto support is that all missing sessions will finish copying overnight. The missing sessions up to Sunday 15th finished copying early on Monday morning. The process stalled overnight, setting us back several hours. Panopto support tell us they have made a change to the process – instead of copying all of the files for each session, they are only copying the files that are needed for you to be able to view. Do you run the Panopto recorder on your own computer?
If you record Replay sessions on your own computer, you’ll need to change the recorder so that it points to the new address. Why can’t I view a session?
Sessions recorded in the run up to the migration are currently copying over to Panopto hosted. Making a recording on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th?
Wednesday’s migration to Panopto hosted will mean you won’t be able to log into Replay. If you want to make a recording on Wednesday, request a temporary account.
We’re going hosted – 18th November
Currently, Aston Replay is hosted in the university’s data centre. From November 18th, it will be hosted by Panopto.
